چکیده

The reconstruction of photorealistic 3D models from camera views is becoming an ubiquitous element in many applications that simulate physical interaction with the real world. In this paper, we present a low-cost, interactive pipeline aimed at nonexpert users, that achieves 3D reconstruction from multiple views acquired with a standard digital camera. 3D models are amenable to access through diverse representation modalities that typically imply trade-offs between level of detail, interaction, and computational costs. Our approach allows users to selectively control the complexity of different surface regions, while requiring only simple 2D image editing operations. An initial reconstruction at coarse resolution is followed by an iterative refining of the surface areas corresponding to the selected regions. View Synthesis along a Curve from Two Uncalibrated Views

This paper presents a generic framework for novel view synthesis from two uncalibrated reference views that allows to move a virtual camera along a curve that is obtained starting from the epipolar geometry of the reference views. The scene is described by its relative affine structure from which novel views are extrapolated and interpolated. The main contribution of this paper is an automatic ...

Continuous Parallax Adjustment for 3d-tv

This paper presents a method to continuously adjust the parallax in 3D-TV visualization. It is based on a generic framework for novel view synthesis from two uncalibrated reference views that allows to move a virtual camera along a path that is obtained starting from the epipolar geometry of the reference views. The scene is described by its relative affine structure from which novel views are ...

Depth and Occlusion Estimation from Uncalibrated Camera Views using Dynamic Programming along the Epipolar Lines

An e cient algorithm to accurately estimate depth and occluded points from two or more uncalibrated views is presented. The basic concept is to apply a dynamic programming technique for displacement estimation, after estimating the exact positions of two corresponding epipolar lines. The ultimate goal is to be able to automatically generate accurate 3-D models from two or more views of a scene ...

Structure and motion from image sequences

In this paper an approach is presented that obtains virtual models from sequences of images. The system can deal with uncalibrated image sequences acquired with a hand held camera. Based on tracked or matched features the relations between multiple views are computed. From this both the structure of the scene and the motion of the camera are retrieved. The ambiguity on the reconstruction is res...
